WIPPTAL TAKES A STAND – Together against violence against women – 2nd edition

During the campaign period from 21 to 25 November 2025, a wide variety of events and initiatives will take place in Sterzing and the Wipptal valley to raise our voices against violence against women. In addition to a fixed programme of events, other initiatives will support the message against violence against women: the Zwölferturm tower will once again be symbolically illuminated in red during the campaign days, red chairs in the historic town centre will draw attention to the issue, and local businesses will display information material. An image film will also accompany the awareness-raising work.
The entire campaign is a collaboration between the Anti-Violence Network Wipptal, the Wipptal District Community, the municipality of Sterzing and the Sterzing Pfitsch Freienfeld Tourism Cooperative, and is made possible thanks to a wide range of supporters. All events are free of charge.

The Anti-Violence Network Wipptal does valuable awareness-raising, information and prevention work and consists of representatives from the Wipptal municipalities and the Brixen women's shelter service. AGNet Wipptal has been active since 2022, is supported by all municipalities and coordinated by the district community's social services.
