Step by step, enjoy the winter landscape and discover the sunny side of the valley along peaceful trails. This guided winter hike leads above Telfes to the traditional Freundalm mountain hut at 1,700 metres above sea level. Along the way, the snow-covered mountains and crisp winter air invite you to experience winter at its most beautiful. Upon reaching Freundalm, a South Tyrolean aperitif awaits – a delightful way to round off the experience surrounded by the winter mountain scenery.

From Sterzing, follow the main road towards Telfes. Continue to Obertelfes, where you will find the fire station and the community hall.

Public transport:
The meeting point can be reached by bus line 315 (Sterzing – Thuins – Telfes). Get off at the "Obertelfes" bus stop. From there, the community hall is just a few minutes' walk away.

Travelling by bus allows you to enjoy the scenery along the way while leaving your car behind.

Warm, weatherproof winter clothing, sturdy winter hiking boots with good grip, a hat, gloves, sunglasses and sufficient drinks. Depending on snow conditions, hiking microspikes are recommended.
